Flexible Learning

A community to learn the art of hospitality – anytime.

FLEXIBLE PROGRAMME START AND DURATION

Our programmes can be started any time (as soon as the training requirements are met). There are no specific application, starting, vacation and assessment dates and deadlines. This flexibility even allows employers to hire and start training of multiple learners at different times.

Whilst our dual vocational programmes require a minimum duration of practical training in each department, the learner and/or the employer can decide on the exact duration of training as long as it meets the minimum requirements.

The platform can be accessed anywhere and anytime as long as there is an internet connection, and the learner can learn at his/her own speed or as instructed by the employer. This allows full adaptability to operational needs, learning breaks during high occupancy days or vacation, and flexible processing times of the sessions day and night.

Most on-the-job-training tasks to not require prior processing of the theory as long as it is well prepared by the practical trainer. The learner can rotate through the departments according to the employer’s operational structure and needs, and according to the individual development process, strengths and weaknesses of the learner.

Whether a fast learner completes within the minimum duration of the programme or a learner needs a bit more time for whichever reason … the choice is yours.

ASSESSMENT CAN BE CONDUCTED WHEN THE LEARNER IS READY AND WITHOUT INTERRUPTION OF OPERATIONS

The theoretical assessments are invigilated by the employer and can be written online anytime when the learner is ready.

The practical assessment phase starts once the learner successfully passed all theoretical assessments, as well as all mandatory on-the-job training tasks and the required minimum months per department. The employer receives a list of preparation requirements and tasks which need to be performed by the learner and documented on video and camera within a period of three months (or less for short programmes). The employer and the learner set the dates and time for each practical task and receives the task, invigilation and recording instructions the day of the assessment.

This flexible approach allows the learner and the trainer to structure the assessment according to the learner’s strengths and weaknesses and avoids any interruption of day-to-day operations of the employer.
